Lacy is a very happy, apparently intelligent, 6 month old female Catahoula. She was turned in to the Athens Limestone animal Shelter by her owner, so there is no stray hold on this sweet baby girl! She is affectionate, good with other dogs and children, and will make a wonderful companion for the lucky person or family who decides to make her a part of their family. So many dogs and cats end up in shelters like ours through no choice or fault of their own, and we hear all kinds of excuses, but these precious animals are living, feeling beings, and each and every one of them deserve a chance to live a happy life and be cared for with love and compassion. Imagine the emotions (animals do have feelings!), the fear, the confusion, the depression....that animals, especially those that have been loved and known what it's like to be petted and have regular meals and share a secure and comfortable living environment with their humans, to be abandoned along some remote roadside or dropped off at the local animal shelter. Lacy is a real winner, and will return the love she is given with equal measure! Please consider her as a member of your family.
